Decision 1: Eliminating sickness and disease of the mind

I knew I was in for the fight of my life.  Just like a world class athlete getting ready to compete, or any boxer or UFC fighter getting ready for a fight, I knew that I had to be in the best shape of my life for my upcoming battle.  That included physical, emotional and spiritual shape.  I felt in order to set the foundation, I had to work on the emotional aspect of my battle first.  Without that strong foundation I felt it would be impossible to win my battle. I started by eliminating the cancer from my mind. My life is guided by my very strong belief and understanding of the law of attraction. What you think about most you bring about.

Thoughts become things and if people think they are sick and may be dying, then that’s exactly what will happen. It was a massive challenge but I knew it was critical to set the foundation by getting my mind and my attitude right. It took less than twenty four hours after my diagnosis to take control of my emotions and make some life saving decisions.  To hold myself accountable, I recorded a 3 minute video setting my intention and making a verbal commitment to win my battle.  This included stating my unconditional commitment to be the owner of my destiny and proving first and foremost to myself and then to the world that living vs. dying, thriving vs. surviving, being healthy vs. being sick was ultimately up to me.  In that video I talked about owning my destiny and my state of health.  Writing down and video recording my intentions gave me a deep sense of accountability.

I also made an unconditional commitment to my mother and my amazing children that I would be there for them for many years to come.  I needed their positive energy and not their negative emotions of sadness or concern for my situation.  I committed to reciting positive affirmations several times throughout the day every day.  Last but not least I learned to do yoga and meditate and I added both into my daily life routine.  One of my best friends shared a guided meditation video that absolutely changed my life.

Meditation helps us focus in the moment, without life’s distractions. It helps us tap into our subconscious minds, leaving us still and calm. It helps rejuvenate us.  It helps us relieve any negativity that may be weighing on us. It has the ability to slow down racing thoughts, to ease an overly stressed brain, and to nurture a tired soul, so that peace and tranquility can be transferred to the rest of the body and the potential for healing on many levels can open up.  Daily meditation can help us perform better at work.  It helps clear our minds and focus on the present moment – which gives us a huge productivity boost.  Some research suggests that daily meditation might be able to help treat symptoms of depression and lower the risk of depression.

I strongly encourage everyone to practice self-healing meditation especially at nighttime while laying in bed.  I love falling asleep to self-healing meditation.  Remember the subconscious mind remembers everything even when you are sleeping.  Listen to this guided meditation by Louise Hay “40 minutes every day to change your life forever”  It may just change your life forever. It definitely changed mine.

So far everything I did was free. It came down to a decision and taking action and nothing more.
